2011 Community Assessment is RELEASED!


Every four years a county wide comprehensive Community Assessment is conducted. The 2011 report was released on January 10, 2012. This was completed in partnership with Alamance Regional Medical Center, Alamance County Health Department and the United Way of Alamance County.

Healthy Alamance is honored by Governor’s Task Force


Mrs. Charles Blackmon, Charles Blackmon Jr, & April Durr Leadership Award for the Elimination of Health Disparities

The Governor’s Task Force for Healthy Carolinians recognizes the local efforts taking place in Alamance County! On October 8, 2009 at the 17th Annual Healthy Carolinians Conference Healthy Alamance received the competitive Charles Blackmon Leadership Award for the Elimination of Health Disparities as well as state Certification. Over 275 people attended including: The Governor’s Task Force Members; The Honorable Beverly Eaves Perdue, Governor of North Carolina; Thomas Frieden, MD/MPH Director of The Center for Disease Control and Prevention; Pam Silberman, JD/DrPH President of The North Carolina Institute of Medicine; local health professionals and health constituents.
